This blog will be joining other vitally important internet sources of information — including Wikipedia, Reddit, Mozilla, WordPress, and BoingBoing — in a blackout tomorrow to protest SOPA and PIPA.
My apologies in advance to the two or three people who may actually notice.
For a good discussion of the reasons for this protest, please see Michael Geist’s post, “Why Canadians Should Participate in the SOPA/PIPA Protest.”
(Actually, I have no idea how to “blackout” this blog. So I’ll just not be writing anything here tomorrow.)
Postscript: It has come to my attention that I have in fact posted something here today. As it seemed counterproductive not to, I would ask that my shocked readership forgive me, remembering that it is the “thought that counts,” and that “to err is human, to forgive will no longer be an option if SOPA and PIPA pass.”
